Job Description Summary
Senior Analyst, Treasury & Cash Management
This position reports to the Manager, Global Cash Management, and is responsible for various aspects of global cash management and other areas of Treasury administration. Work involves a strong understanding of global cash management, intercompany financing transactions, global banking systems, ERP and Treasury Management systems, and US GAAP for accounting of cash and debt transactions.
Key Elements of the Role:
Global Cash Management:
Responsible for U.S. cash management activities – the analysis of daily cash balances, borrowing requirements, preparation of short-term cash flow forecasting and daily cash management activities.
US and Global Investment management approvals, reconciliation, and quarterly reporting.
US Debt management including Letter of Credit administration and floating rate loan administration.
Execution of FX trade operations, including spot trades and related documentation.
Assist in the global management of AAMs daily cash balances and short-term cash forecasting process.
Administration, support and audit of global bank account management, bank signatory updates, and electronic banking entitlements.
Global/Foreign banking platform backup and administration support.
Prepare bank fee analysis and make recommendations to optimize services and minimize fees.
Assists in the preparation and review of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 testing for Cash Management controls.
Perform or coordinate AAMs accounting for cash management functions, including but not limited to:
o Working with international sites to ensure that monthly income/expense and assets/liabilities related to cash management activities are recorded in accordance with US GAAP on a consolidated basis.
o Coordinate detailed quarterly reconciliation reviews of general ledger cash accounts for international entity.
o Complete required quarterly schedules for Financial Reporting support.
o Various month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations, as required.
Publication of monthly FX rates for accounting purposes.
Lead and/or participate on cross-functional teams to improve processing efficiency and/or increase automation in AAMs Global Cash Management functions worldwide.
Responsible for identifying opportunities for business process improvement activities, and keeping abreast of new developments in Treasury technology.
Supporting technology or process implementations.
Support bank account security and fraud management.
Process DACA requirements as required, in accordance with Credit Agreement.
Assist with the coordination of Quarterly Treasury Reviews.
All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance required; MBA and/or CTP preferred.
3-5 years cash management and/or treasury business process experience preferred.
Knowledge of Cash Management, forecasting and treasury operations.
Good understanding of internal controls and appreciation of the internal control environment.
Understanding and working knowledge of US GAAP.
Outstanding communication skills.
Demonstrated Project Management and leadership skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to a high degree of accuracy.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced PC skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Exposure to global business and experience interacting with global partners.
ERP experience preferred (software implementations a plus).
