Responsibilities include overseeing all treasury accounting functions, including, but not limited to, duties associated with the monthly financial close, bank reconciliations, maintaining a strong internal control environment, cash management, banking administration, and treasury operations. This position also collaborates with key Finance business partners to develop and refine processes while ensuring adherence to accounting policies and internal controls.
The Accounting Manager of Treasury:
Ensures the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of month end close activities for treasury, including journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, chargebacks, and reporting.
Manages domestic and international banking relationships.
Manages global merchant card processing solutions including fees, reporting, and reconciliations.
Reviews journal entries for accuracy, aids in the research of variances and root cause analysis of key accounts and implements measures to aid in accuracy of reporting.
Serves as subject matter expert pertaining to treasury controls, financial controls, and GAAP standards.
Establishes accounting operational strategies by evaluating trends, establishing critical measurements, resolving problems, and implementing change.
Works directly with internal and external auditors on all matters pertaining to functional area of responsibility.
Partners with senior leadership to make sure strategies and priorities are aligned with company objectives while ensuring appropriate financial controls.
Provides leadership to drive the organization towards world-class systems and processes that exceed performance expectations.
Functions as a project and solution leader with accountability for the overall delivery of system improvements of critical enterprise platforms related to treasury
Directs ongoing financial system requirements and improvements with the Companys IT resources.
Designs, implements, maintains, and improves controls to ensure ongoing compliance with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Directs staff while managing performance, development, training, and careers for the treasury accounting team.
Prepares ad-hoc financial reports and analysis to senior management.
Carries out special projects as required.
Skills We Are Seeking::
Bachelors Degree in Accounting required.
Minimum 5 years of relevant treasury or progressive corporate accounting experience; distribution industry a plus.
Experience in large, multi-location company environments required.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Technical skills in banking, cash management, foreign currency, and treasury principles.
Management experience preferred.
Experience with BlackLines Transaction Matching module preferred.
Experience with a large ERP, preferably Microsoft AX Dynamics.
Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with demonstrated ability to anticipate next steps, take initiative, and apply sound judgment.
Experience and strong understanding of monthly close and reporting cycles in a large complex US corporate environment preferred.
