The Assistant Treasurer/Corp FP&A Senior Manager is responsible for managing all treasury activities including debt compliance and loan stakeholder communication, cash management and liquidity-related activities and reporting. In addition, this position is responsible for all corporate FP&A activities including long range planning, annual corporate budget preparation, forecasting, monthly results reporting and monthly/quarterly reporting to the Board of Directors. This role has one direct report, a senior treasury analyst, and reports to the Chief Financial Officer. This role interacts heavily and partners with the Chief Accounting Officer and brand finance leaders.
The Assistant Treasurer/Corp FP&A Senior Manager will be expected to:
Manage all treasury-related activities, including:
Cash balance and liquidity analysis and reporting
Field support for smart safe management, cash deposit activities and in-restaurant cash balances
Loan compliance, administration, analysis and communication with institutional lenders
Prepare consolidated long range financial plans for presentation to board and external stakeholders
Prepare the corporate annual operating Plan, including corporate consolidation and corporate G&A department plans and related analysis
Monthly forecasting and analysis at the corporate level
Complete weekly updates of projected results for current month (flash report)
Produce monthly departmental G&A and headcount reports and analysis comparing actual to budgeted and prior year results
Produce and present monthly financial reports and forecasts against Plan and prior forecasts for all components of the consolidated Corporate Income Statement
Complete quarterly current year forecast updates at a brand and consolidated level
Oversee the preparation and presentation of analysis and commentary for monthly and quarterly results to the Board of Directors and investors
Prepare the monthly, and quarterly Board reporting packages that include consolidated Income Statements, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), cash flow and capital expenditures.
Collaborate with corporate finance team members to support quarterly external reporting.
Complete periodic analysis of investor base with assistance from third party investor relations firm
Provide financial analysis, strategic support, competitive analysis and ad hoc reporting
Drive profitable growth by improving visibility, forecasting, consolidation, and analysis of results and key metrics while advising senior management on insights and recommended actions.
Leverage financial data and insights to identify key business opportunities and drive efficiency.
Partner with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in financial and operational execution.
Perform other duties as assigned.
On a frequent basis will interface with brand and corporate executive leadership team, finance brand leaders, Corporate Accounting, Restaurant Accounting, IT, and Operations leadership.
Reports to Chief Financial Officer
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
A successful candidate for this role will have the following experience and skills:
7 to 10 years of combined Corporate FP&A and Treasury experience.
Prior corporate planning experience in building annual and long range plans.
Prior responsibility for treasury, cash management and loan compliance is strongly preferred.
Prior experience analyzing financial statements, forecasts, month end close, and budgets required.
Multi unit retail experience is preferred, with multi-unit restaurant experience highly preferred.
Bachelors/Undergraduate degree in Finance or related field is required.
Intermediate to advanced level on MS Excel with extensive experience building and maintaining financial models; Experience automating complex reports in Excel is preferred.
Prior experience in utilizing planning/forecasting systems, especially Hyperion Enterprise and Essbase is strongly desired.
Supervisory experience required.
