AVP, Treasury – Strategic Initiatives Affinity Deposits

Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP Treasury Strategic Initiatives Affinity Deposits will assist the Affinity Deposits team in enhancing and managing the PayPal Savings program. This role will help project manage and coordinate internal cross functional teams to manage client expectations and ensure completion of program deliverables. This person must be able to handle an agile pace and job responsibilities such as assisting in creation of any new governance processes for the program and new duties as required to support the new program.

This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist in project and program management for the new Affinity Deposits program

• Coordinate internal cross functional workstreams to ensure Affinity Deposits leadership is up to date on status of the program.

• Assist in managing cross functional, multi-year project and program plan(s)

• Coordinate with Affinity Deposits leadership in developing strategic initiative roadmaps

• Requirements gathering, documentation, and resource management for the initiative

• Participate in daily meetings with the client to ensure key deliverables are on track and consolidated feedback is being shared. Partner with PayPal PMO to ensure trackers and issue logs are coordinated between entities.

• Establish cross client relationships

• Support Affinity Deposits leadership on ensuring contractual compliance with the Program Agreement and lead PMO activities for client needs such as Audit, New Products, Projects, etc

• Partner with the client marketing team to develop and execute an effective market-focused partner messaging and communication strategy and obtain SYF internal approvals

• Assist in governance processes, including coordination of joint meetings between PayPal and Synchrony and internal Synchrony 2LOD processes

• Support Affinity Deposits team to ensure cross-functional teams are aligned to support client objectives while insuring governance.

• Monitor SLAs with the client team and ensure program follows the contract.

• Influence in a Matrix Environment – this role embodies a range of key stakeholders and the need to develop strong relationships with Consumer Bank & Affinity Deposits functional teams including Marketing, IT, Operations, Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk, Compliance, Risk; partnering with all functional leaders to review Affinity Deposits metrics and client management metrics.

• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting and/or corporate treasury or banking environment

• In-depth knowledge of how Deposits integrates within Synchrony and of direct competitors within the industry (products/services)

Eligibility Requirements:

• You must be 18 years or older

• You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

• You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

• You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

• New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you dont meet the time in position or performance expectations).

The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 – 150,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
