EBC HR and Payroll Solutions has provided high-end, custom-tailored payroll and Human Capital Management solutions to Western New York businesses from our offices in downtown Buffalo and Amherst since 1964. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Cash Management Specialist to join our payroll team.
The Cash Management Specialist oversees all day-to-day aspects related to the funding of client payroll, taxes and billing, working closely and urgently with Payroll Operations leadership, NatPay (our ACH provider), financial institutions, clients, and taxing agencies to ensure the accurate and timely funding of our clients payroll obligations. This includes establishing and executing daily payroll funding and verification procedures, identifying and resolving issues with checks and ACH transactions, and expediting same-day direct deposit requests. This role acts as the primary point of contact for our payroll banking and payment provider and manages those relationship effectively.
Responsibilities:
Completes daily reconciliation of payroll checking account.
Respond timely and with urgency to problems with checks or ACH transactions, communicating with clients, Client Services Representatives and bank contacts as needed.
Prepares monthly account reconciliation
Acts as primary contact with the bank and money movement provider to handle any problems with checks or ACH transactions, including NSF transactions, direct deposit returns, account rejections, same-day direct deposits or other issues.
Assists with client billing issues that are not able to be resolved directly by a Client Services Representative
Performs billing reconciliation and billing audit procedures
Follows procedures for maintaining security of sensitive and confidential information.
Takes initiative in continuing to refine, streamline, and improve efficiency in the above procedures in a rapidly growing company.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree, preferably in Business, Accounting or Finance.
Demonstrated history of strong problem-solving ability, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and self-direct, while also effectively working within a team.
Ability to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders to resolve problems in high stress situations
Previous experience in bank reconciliation, payroll, cash management, funding and trust account management highly preferred
