Overview:
The co-op will be working on multiple projects that support Capital Markets in the Treasury Department. The Capital Markets team manages Meritors capital structure and funding facilities worldwide, including factoring and securitization, leasing, and other secured and unsecured debt in addition to inter-company financing.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide analytical support for securitization program
Perform completeness checks on all global SOX management testing and follow up on discrepancies
Prepare lease/buy analysis and support lease roll out/process
Prepare dashboards for Capital Markets and other reporting
Prepare/coordinate the quarterly Treasury report out
Support internal and external audits
Prepare financial statement reports and other ad hoc requests
Work with vendors and Shared Services to initiate payments
Participation in continuous improvement initiatives
Cross functional back-up for other personnel within the group
Work on various projects as necessary
Qualification:
Enrolled in undergraduate business oriented degree, accounting or finance preferred
Strong analytical and organization skills (ability to recognize and resolve issues)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Individual must feel comfortable managing several different projects at once
Ability to function in a changing environment and meet scheduled deadlines
Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook skills are required
Knowledge of Accounting principles and Internal controls preferred
