The Assistant Treasurer will provide leadership in the strategy, scope, planning and execution of treasury across the company. The individual will be a thoughtful and proactive self-starter who will be able to execute and manage treasury functions, insurance and bank relationship management, foreign exchange strategies, liquidity and insurance risk management, cash and treasury operations. This person will manage a direct team of one to two with responsibility to develop and implement liquidity strategies to ensure business continuity as well as efficient working capital management. In addition, this person will have oversight over the company’s insurance risk management processes as well as setting Foreign Exchange policy and execution parameters.
Identify financial risks as they relates to treasury operations globally. Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies in a timely and efficient manner. These risks will include, but not be limited to, currency fluctuations, banking disruptions, cross border transactions and client bankruptcies. Provide management oversight and stewardship over the Company’s Investment processes. Obtain a very detailed knowledge of working capital for the region. The Assistant Treasurer will be able to demonstrate and explain monthly working capital results.
Support Merger and Acquisition activity through regional funding and integration of new entities into Treasury Policy, banking and liquidity solutions. Ensure the company remains in compliance with all Treasury policies and procedures (i.e., Hedging Policy, Debt Management, and Investment Policy) as required.
Develop strong working relationships with regional and local finance, controller and tax organizations to bring value to special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Maintain active and frequent contact with banking partners to stay abreast of latest technology, trends, Central Bank policy changes and economic developments. It is expected that this knowledge will lead to developing and implementing treasury solutions in liquidity, and risk management.
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Accounting or Finance – Required
Master Degree (MBA) – Preferred
12 years or more in Progressively responsible experience in treasury and/or finance.
Broad knowledge of financial instruments and markets, with experience in banking laws and sovereign monetary regulations. Track record of project management, productivity, and process improvement within the area of cash and working capital management. – Advanced
Working knowledge of US/International Tax and transfer pricing principles applicable to cross border financing transactions. High level of integrity and ethics. Success at providing oversight and direction to a diverse group of finance professionals. Excellent analytical and verbal/written communication skills and the ability to influence actions across all levels of the organization.
