Department Description:

The Enterprise Services Organization includes Global Financial Services (GFS). GFS is a Shared Service, where the Accounts Payable (A/P) function is split into two segregated roles in order to increase controls. Simply put, A/P books the invoices and Disbursements pays them.

But before you think this is just part of the Accounts Payable function, theres so much more.

This isnt just another AP job! Its a great combination of A/P, Treasury and Accounting.

Job Description

What does the role offer?

• The Disbursements and Treasury Manager is a key contributor and leader within the team that oversees the payment of hundreds of thousands of transactions issued from 25+ legal entities, totaling billions of dollars. The support of this large, complex organization will provide you with a tremendous amount of challenge and variety.
• In addition to the general daily responsibilities, this role provides you an excellent opportunity to lead and participate in automation, integration and process improvement projects. These projects are where you can exercise your critical thinking and judgement skills, while providing tangible cost savings to the businesses we support.
• The person who fills this role will work closely with leadership and be groomed for success as the subject matter expert / go to Disbursements partner to the businesses. You will solve problems, overcome roadblocks, and make things happen.
• This is a corporate/shared services role, supporting the varied businesses in the Raytheon portfolio. This means youll build relationships with the financial leadership of all of the businesses we support.

Specific Responsibilities:

• In this role youll lead the daily disbursement and banking activities for the North American Global Financial Shared Services organization, ensuring that timely and accurate third-party payments are made
• Act as an authorized signer for domestic and foreign bank accounts, adhering to Raytheon controls and policies
• Provide extraordinary customer service, educating customers, solving problems and overcoming roadblocks, while ensuring that appropriate controls are maintained
• Liaison with Banks, Raytheon Treasury, Digital Technology, Auditors and other internal functions on daily cash activity, troubleshooting, governance, process improvements, and projects
• Generate, analyze, interpret and make actionable recommendations based on metric data
• Identify process and control opportunities and support strategic initiatives, including integrations and divestitures
• Act as a Disbursements representative in project teams, occasionally leading projects

Experience/Qualifications:

This is a unique role. Were looking for a unique person to fill it.

• The ideal candidate has 7+ years of general experience in the areas of Finance, Accounting, and Treasury with knowledge of domestic and international payments.
• If you have a Treasury background, youll understand the need to forecast and manage cash, and be at ease interacting with banks
• If you have an Accounting background, youll
  • participate in discussions regarding the procure to pay process, including the accounting impact of payments, and
  • leverage your controls knowledge to ensure best practices while acting to detect and prevent fraud attempts against Raytheon.
• If you have an Accounts Payable background, youll understand the upstream controls and process surrounding A/P

Desired Qualifications (Soft skills)

• Has knowledge of USGAAP, experience with SAP and Microsoft Office.

• Questions the status quo and then drives improvements to it
• Communicates well in writing and during meetings

Education:

• Bachelors degree with a focus on Accounting or Finance field required
• Masters Degree preferred
