Normanton is home to our head office and is also the largest of our operational sites where we pack fresh fruit, salad and vegetables. The pack house in Normanton is in operation 24 hours a day, 364 days a year, employing over 700 colleagues. Several of our support functions are based in Normanton which include Commercial, IT, Finance, People Team and our Planning Teams.
We are looking for a Finance Manager to lead our Treasury and Record to Report Teams to support the Finance function in its key strategic priorities and provide accurate monthly accounts, enabling informed commercial decisions.
This exciting new opportunity is responsible for leading, developing and supporting a small team of financial analysts as follows:
Treasury Team you will be the lead contact for all banking matters, responsible for leading cash and working capital strategic priorities you will work across teams to set the working capital plan, forecast in-year working capital movements and track cashflows. You will have close liaison with ASDA Treasury and ASDA Finance teams regarding cash requirements and managing intercompany borrowings.
Record to Report Team involved in production of timely and accurate management accounts you will also review journals and balance sheet reconciliations prepared by your team and support on internal and external audit reviews of your areas.
Overall, you will be part of a wider Treasury, R2R and Controllership senior team and will be a leader on financial and management accounting matters. Working as part of a cross-functional team you will have to influence key stakeholders who are not under your direct control and you will also be required to play a business partnering function with both finance and non-finance teams.
With experience of working in Audit/Assurance within a Professional Services firm or in Industry at Assistant Manager or Manager level, you should be a Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with strong financial accounting skills.
With strong Microsoft Excel skills, you should have an inquisitive/challenging mind-set with excellent attention to detail. You should have a proven ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines through your ability to prioritise competing objectives.
As a strong communicator you should have the ability to engage with stakeholders within different levels of the organisation up to Board Level. You should be a team player too – but with the ability to work on your own initiative and deliver through others.
