Head of Credit Portfolio Management – Citi Treasury Investments

Description

Lead the Citi Treasury Investments (CTI) Credit Portfolio Management team. The business is responsible for the management of a portfolio of non-sovereign investment grade fixed income securities to meet the firms liquidity, balance sheet and revenue targets. The role involves leading a team of portfolio managers, setting the business and investment strategy to meet Citi targets and managing all risks associated with those activities. The individual will report to the CTI Chief Investment Officer and play a key role in the broader firm wide management of debt investment securities.

Background

Citi Treasury Investments is an investment function within Citi Corporate Treasury with a mandate to lead the investment of Citis major liquidity portfolios with oversight from Citis ALCOs. The credit portfolio management team, which comprises seven individuals based in London, manages CTIs non-sovereign credit fixed income portfolio, predominately focused on Structured Finance and Multinational Development Bank securities. The credit portfolio has a global remit, with a focus on developed economies.

The role is full time and based in Canary Wharf, London

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the business and portfolio management to meet revenue and risk targets.
• Determine the businesss credit underwriting and monitoring standards.
• Develop the range of investable products.
• Manage the credit and market risks associated with the investment activity.
• Responsible for the businesss governance, policies and procedures.
• Manage the team of eight individuals, providing appropriate guidance and training to ensure ongoing development of the team.
• Lead the relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders, including risk, compliance, finance, market counterparties and regulators.
• As a member of CTI Management team, contribute to broader CTI and Treasury wide projects.
• Contribute to the firms Debt Investment Securities Council as a means to ensure consistency of investment approach across the broader firm.
• Partner with the global Treasury groups to optimize the firms liquidity, capital and balance sheet.

Knowledge/Experience

• Significant experience of fixed income investment management and capital markets.
• Preference for detailed knowledge of securitization markets.
• Have been responsible for managing a business and the associated revenue and risk targets.
• Leadership and experiencing of managing a team and influencing at a senior level.

Skills

• Strong leadership skills with an ability to develop an investment strategy and inspire a team.
• Strong credit underwriting, quantitative and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, with an ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks within tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification
• Ideal candidates would have extensive years experience in a relevant field.
