BJC HealthCare is one of the largest nonprofit health care organizations in the United States, delivering services to residents primarily in the greater St. Louis, southern Illinois and mid-Missouri regions. BJC serves patients and their families in urban, suburban and rural communities through its 15 hospitals and multiple community health locations. Services include inpatient and outpatient care, primary care, community health and wellness, workplace health, home health, community mental health, rehabilitation, long-term care and hospice.
Treasury has overall responsibility for all system funds and securities under the general guidance of the Assistant Treasurer and the Finance Committee of the System Board. This group oversees the day to day cash management, including establishment and maintenance of proper controls over daily cash transactions of BJC HealthCare and the cashiering functions at BJC entities within the Washington University Medical Center. The group is responsible for managing activities and providing technical assistance to the Assistant Treasurer and CFO related to bond issues and other long term debt obligations of the system.
Supports and drives the analytical capabilities of the Investment and treasury team. Will be closely involved in developing reports and analytics to understand the risks and opportunities inherent in individual managers and portfolios. Will be active in the integration of the System’s custodian, banking and IT infrastructure. Must have the self-confidence to question both team members and external vendors. Will also participate in adhoc financial projects to support the System’s business units and clients.
