What you will be doing
As a junior Group Treasury Manager you work within the Corporate Treasury team in Brussels that deals with the daily treasury activities, foreign exchange hedging and cash management processes, ensuring good execution and administration of treasury operations, contribute to the treasury reporting process and participate in various projects.
Responsibilities
- You monitor as back-up, the Foreign Exchange hedging requests made by the affiliates ; you manage in real time the resulting foreign exchange positions of Umicore Financial Services and hedge them with external counterparties at the best conditions.
- You follow up as back-up, the treasury position of Umicore Financial Services and of the different (international) companies in the Umicore Group. Based on the global Treasury position and needs, you will ensure the optimal short-term cash management solutions with external counterparties.
- You contribute to the analysis and production of various treasury reports on FX results and exposure, cost of indebtedness, Treasury position, FX strategic review.
- You monitor the internal credit facilities and intercompany loans and deposits, and ensure the compliance with the Transfer Pricing methodology.
- You contribute to the analysis and reporting on the bank cost and other KPIs.
- You assist in the set-up and maintenance of a strong cash forecasting process;
- You support the team for audit, compliance and in the implementation of cross departmental projects;
- You support all banking activities, including bank accounts management;
- You participate to the development of robotic process automation (RPA) and other digitalization initiatives in the treasury operations.
Who we are looking for
- You have a master degree in finance or economics
- You have 3 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance or related fields
- You have a strong interest for financial markets and instruments, hedging & risk management, and treasury management systems
- You are fluent in English and preferably in French and/or Dutch
- You are an analytical and conceptual thinker
- You have proven ability for initiative and problem solving with minimal direction
- You have strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
- You are well organised, able to multitask and work in an autonomous way
- You strive for excellence and have a strong desire to exceed expectations
- You are curious for new IT applications and digitalization trends
You might also have
- Working knowledge of SAP Treasury Management System
- Familiarity with Qliksense, PowerBI or other BI Solutions
