Senior Treasury Analyst

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
• 4+ years of relevant experience in Treasury or applicable experience

The Treasury Capital Markets team oversees Amazons long-term strategy for funding Amazons growth and managing Amazons capital structure. The team is responsible for managing banking relationship across Amazon, implementing debt and equity capital markets activities, and is front facing to the financial markets. The team works closely with the business and its finance teams to identify areas where Treasury can add value and facilitate the discovery and implementation of financing solutions. It also provides strategic advice for business investment decisions, including the use of appropriate hurdle rates and setting the WACC.

We are seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to join the Capital Markets team to help manage Amazons banking relationship as well as support working capital and bespoke financing solutions for our customers. The role requires a highly motivated self-starter who is customer focused and able to earn trust quickly. The candidate should be a quick learner who is able to think big and strategically, while paying attention to details and diving deep when needed. This role requires excellent communication and organization skills to partner with internal and external stakeholders of various levels and backgrounds. This person will support our banking relationship strategy, manage bank relationship reviews with regularly bank group meetings, and own bank dashboard and wallet reporting. This person will also support business financing projects across our customer facing teams. Strong analytic skills and knowledge of business intelligence tools are also preferred.

Job Description:

• Builds and enhances the relationship with key banking partners. Designs and implements the banking strategy across Treasury.
• Collaborates with banking partners to ensure sufficient credit capacity supporting business growth. Manages the core revolving credit facility.
• Works closely with banking partners and internal Treasury teams, actively seeks to understand their needs, strategies, initiatives, opportunities, and challenges. Help ensuring transparency, collaboration, and remove obstacles as needed.
• Collaborates with the Treasurer, senior Treasury leaders, and senior bankers to prepare and conduct relationship review meetings with key banking partners.
• Supports Treasury and business teams on selecting banking partners for key projects, new business expansion, and new country expansion.
• Works on various projects including working capital financing programs for Amazon suppliers and customers, and supports business partners on finance solution scoping, recommendations, and execution.
• Assists Capital Markets managers located in Seattle and New York City on various capital markets initiatives.
• Designs and manages the development of bank relationship and wallet reports, metrics, and dashboards for management. This includes the design of BI reporting that presents bank relationship metrics in a clear manner.
• Partners with the Treasury tech team to create standardized bank relationship metrics and reporting.

This position can be located in Seattle or New York City.

• 6+ years of relevant experience in Treasury, banking, or finance
• 2+ years of working capital experience or bank relationship management
• Knowledge of institutional banking, capital markets, and/or corporate treasury. Knowledge of financial statements and corporate finance theory.
• Proven experience in analyzing, building, and maintaining complex financial models in Excel
• Experience advanced BI reporting skills (e.g. PowerBI, QuickSight, etc)
• Ability to document process flows and driving process improvements
• Proven ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills with a strong customer focus
• An MBA and/or progression through the CFA Program
