What is the Role?
This newly created role is an exciting and challenging opportunity which requires strong operational skills, strong financial and analytical experience as well as excellent project delivery experience. As the Treasury function provides a vital service to the SSE 7, SSE Group and managed Joint Ventures (JV’s) the Senior Treasury Cash Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the complex cash management requirements of the SSE Group and managed JV’s are always delivered in an efficient and cost-effective manner. This will involve engaging with senior managers (FD and MD level) in both SSE and the managed JV’s along with the relationship and operational managers at the various third- party operational banking providers.
The Senior Treasury Cash Manager role requires someone who can manage the Treasury cash team in this complex operational function ensuring a high level of service at all times. It requires important decisions to be made on daily basis to ensure the Treasury services are provided in a highly controlled and efficient manner. The role also requires someone who can review existing processes before leading and delivering internal and external projects that will allow the Treasury services to be provided using the latest available technology whilst retaining a high level of control.
What do I need?
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who are educated to degree level in a relevant subject with extensive experience working within Treasury or Cash Management in a Managerial position. You’ll be a strong leader with the ability to motivate and support teams through effective coaching, training & development plans and have a passion to develop our wider Treasury team.
