As a Senior Treasury Consultant, with strong life insurance expertise, you will support senior management in understanding, optimizing and communicating key Groups capital and return ratios and manage other key tasks and projects on behalf of the Treasury planning and analysis team to ensure adequate capital allocation and economic performance.
What you will do
Lead or support key tasks or projects of the Treasury planning and analysis team, such as:
Ad-hoc analysis regarding the capital and liquidity implications for special projects of medium to high complexity, such as Mergers & Acquisitions transactions, internal restructuring, capital actions or other strategic initiatives
Group-wide projects for developing and enhancing the way Zurich manages, allocates and plans capital and for measuring and reporting economic and risk-based performance, both on issues of medium to high complexity
Develop strong understanding of IFRS17 and start application to core analysis
Co-lead end-to-end analysis and communication to senior management of monthly, quarterly and yearly updates on AFR for SST and Z-ECM, in tight collaboration with Group Risk Management and other functions
Further develop capital models by analyzing and implementing potential model changes
For candidates with the right balance of skill sets, act as the Life specialist for Group Treasury and Capital Management, be the go-to person on Life transactions and work independently on technical Life matters, including capital models by engaging with other Life experts across other functions
Lead improvements of key tasks and processes by applying Zurichs digital/automation competencies and Lean methodologies
Develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. with various Group Finance, Group Actuarial, Group Risk and Investment Management functions, and central and local teams including in Finance, Legal and Risk)
What you bring
Masters degree in economics, corporate finance or CFA or other post-graduate finance qualification
At least 7 years of insurance experience within finance and ability to analyze complex financial data
Strong understanding of insurance capital models required
Expert knowledge of Life insurance is required
Treasury and corporate finance knowledge are preferred
Network within and outside Group Finance, Group Actuarial and Group Risk Management is an asset
Solid knowledge of insurance accounting particularly of balance sheets is preferred
Strong negotiation skills and sound solution orientation
Prior project management experience is an asset
Ability to work independently, under pressure and conscious of deadlines is required
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus
