Sr Treasury Accountant

Position Summary:

Principal Responsibilities:

• Directly responsible for all treasury functions, which includes processing interbank transfers, making payments to lenders, and setting up wire information to fund partnerships.

• Prepares and posts cash activity to the general ledger.

• Analyzes daily cash performance and delivers ad hoc cash management reports.
• Prepares intercompany and investment reconciliations monthly and prepares cash transfers to settle open balances.

• Investigates and proposes possible resolution for any cash transaction discrepancies.
• Prepares accrued interest and debt payment analysis, with provision of relevant information and reports to senior leadership.

• Maintains bank account listing and periodically reviews user access.
• Coordinates with bank to set up new bank accounts, add new users, change user access limits, remove terminated users, and close bank accounts.

• Assists the Senior Accounting Manager with various month end close duties, including but not limited to reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing reports related to cash activity and supporting internal and external financial statement preparation, as necessary.

• Executes all tasks within prescribed internal control framework.
• Coordinates the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, with at least five years prior applicable work experience.

• At least two years of experience in a treasury or cash management role is highly preferred.

• CPA designation highly preferred.
• Well-developed problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Is results oriented and achievement motivated.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with numerous business software products and accounting systems.
• Must be detail oriented and achieve timeline results.
• Must be able to handle a fast paced and challenging environment.
• Must demonstrate the organizations core values, exuding behavior aligned with the firms culture.
