Under the supervision of the Sr Manager Treasury and Risk the Staff Accountant I-Treasury primarily performs accounting functions related to Treasury for all divisions and subsidaries of the company in accordance with established procedures. You are occasionally called upon for other duties including data entry, procedure development, audit compliance, and other special projects within the Accounting Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Process all global AP payments including checks, wires, EFT’s and credit cards.
Process payroll, social security and other payroll related payments for all branches and subsidiaries
Creating the bank template creation for vendors and employees
Preparation/Calculation of Treasury journal entries and bank transactions
Prepare monthly debt entries and reconciliations.
Assist with Unclaimed Property due diligence and state filings.
Assist with external audit(s) through record retrieval and process demonstration for auditors.
Other finance responsibilities as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Office/accounting procedures and computer skills including intermediate Excel, required
Time management and organizational skills essential
Knowledge or experience in payroll/commission accounting and processing preferred
Knowledge or experience in treasury/cash management preferred
Effective interpersonal and communication skills required
Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail are required
Must have excellent written, listening and verbal skills
Must be able to work independantly and/or under the direction of others
Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
Minimum of one year previous accounting experience preferred
