Treasury Analyst

Job Description Summary

HarbourVest has seen strong growth in its private equity solutions offerings, and the firm now manages over $6B in credit facilities, with over 20 credit agreements covering over 50 borrowing entities. We expect continued growth and are seeking to add an experienced professional to our team to help manage the loan portfolio.

The Treasury Analyst will play a key role in the department and will be responsible for coordinating financing actions for HarbourVest funds through the use of credit facilities and issuance of capital calls to investors. He or she will take actions to coordinate with internal staff and banks to ensure timely execution of operations, as well as fulfillment of HarbourVests obligations, such as interest and principal payments, covenant compliance, etc.

Job Skills and Abilities

• Excel; exporting and importing data to TWS, eFront and other systems
• Experience managing a portfolio of loans at a bank or asset manager would be helpful
• Reliable and highly accurate
• Ability to plan workloads, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

Credit Facility Management: 60%

• Draft borrowing, rollover, repayment notices, procure signatures and communicate to banks
• Coordinate timely payments to or from banks
• Prepare debt related wire transfers in the banking system and Treasury Workstation (TWS)
• Ensure accuracy of records in TWS and other systems
• Coordinate workflows for interest and principal payments, as well as commitment fees
• Analyze accuracy of charges and follow up with banks with any corrective actions
• Upload debt transactions into Intralinks
• Update LP cash flow reporting for credit banks
• Update monthly borrowing base schedules

Capital Call Issuance: 30%

• Process capital calls for HarbourVest Funds as assigned

Process Improvement: 10%

• Identify process improvement and propose corrective actions for the debt cycle

Education

BS/BA or equivalent

Work Experience

1-3 Years experience in treasury/banking
