Treasury Analyst

The Treasury Analyst is responsible for providing daily support for cash and Treasury operations, bank relationship management, short-term borrowing, cash forecasting, payments, analysis and reporting. The Treasury Analyst will play a key role in ensuring appropriate liquidity for the company.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Initiate money transfers and support proper accounting for these transactions.
• Perform the daily cash reconciliation process by reviewing bank activity reports to ensure all payments made by and to the organization are processed appropriately.
• Reconcile daily posting of cash received from multiple lockboxes, PayerExpress, AMEX BIP and credit card processing.
• Perform Cash On Account (COA) related tasks and research.
• Process customer credits and reversing cash transactions.
• Perform credit card and bank fee analysis and prepare related monthly journal entries.
• Maintain bank account matrix and interest schedules.
• Assist with monthly forecasting reports and identify trends in financial performance.
• Coordinate implementation of process improvements with Director of Finance to drive improvements in DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and DPO (Days Payables Outstanding).
• Support month-end close activities and prepare bank reconciliations.
• Conduct cost-benefit and financial analyses on cash and treasury operations, cash management, short-term borrowing, and complete ROI analysis as needed.
• Generate check edit report and process check runs on a weekly basis.
• Complete audit and accounting-related projects as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 4-year degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Intermediate level user with Microsoft Office Products.
• The position requires a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.
