Treasury Analyst
Reporting to the Group Treasury Manager
London, York or Colchester based – Hybrid working
This role presents an excellent opportunity to work in a broad treasury analyst role in FTSE250 Company undergoing treasury and finance transformation, to develop business partnering and analytical skills as well as to work independently with exposure to senior stakeholders.
Reporting to the Group Treasury Manager you will take ownership for development and implementation of Group treasury policies, operational procedures, and internal and external reporting across liquidity, risk management and project activity.
To be sucessful, you will be a self-driven, motivated team player with a proven track record of improving and have a very good grasp of how a Treasury function successfully operates. If we had to estimate a number of years ‘hands on experience’, it would be in the ballpark of five years. However, those with more, or less years, but the right level of knowledge will naturally be considered.
Key responsibilities:
Operational cash management and optimisation of surpluses
Group funding including management of the Groups borrowing facility and intragroup liquidity needs;
Management of credit risk across the Groups panel of banks and financial institutions;
Management, monitoring and evolution of the Groups foreign exchange risk;
Establishment and maintenance of regular reporting across management, regulatory and external requirements;
Design and implement treasury key performance indicators to enhance management information;
Embedding of the Groups new Treasury Management System across all business units
Development and maintenance of robust, efficient and transparent operational processes across the business;
Treasury risk exposure identification and proposal of appropriate solutions;
Coordination with other Treasury and Finance colleagues to achieve operational excellence.
Other responsibilities may include:
Support Business Units and other stakeholders in treasury related matters;
Execute treasury, intercompany and other miscellaneous payments;
Execute postings in the accounting ledger and perform bank reconciliations;
Liaise with banks to resolve payment, transactional and operational issues.

Skills:
Broad, ‘hands on’ treasury experience, preferably in insurance or large multinational company;
ACT qualification (Certificate in Treasury);
Educated to degree standard with good academic record
Strong analytical skills;
Strong interpersonal skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Excellent computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint;
Curiosity desire to learn, understand and investigate
