Position Overview
The Treasury Analyst will support Domestic Cash Operations and Short-Term Investments and will report to the Treasury Global Cash and Investment Manager. The position is responsible for preparing the daily cash position for multiple corporate domestic and foreign currency bank accounts. As a Treasury Analyst you will have both sound financial analysis skills and excellent business acumen, being able to understand the data, evaluate the alternatives and make specific business recommendations.
Key activities of the position include calculating daily liquidity needs, funding domestic and foreign currency bank accounts appropriately, executing payments and settlements, and recommending short term investments and redemptions.
The Role requires a close alignment with our Banking partners, ITS team, Platform Services, and other stakeholders to provide the necessary liquidity to manage the business while moving funds.
The analyst draws upon deep analytical skills and experience to support management with special projects and provide back-up support to Latin America Investment Analyst.
Function Specific Activities /Key Responsibilities
Stay abreast of industry best practices, financial market conditions and macroeconomic data.
Understand Company exposures by keeping abreast of action or policy changes that can impact risk management strategies.
Manage a project against a plan and objectives to ensure commitments are met by monitoring, assessing, and resolving variances in budget, timing or quality of work.
Responsible for day to day Cash and Liquidity decisions for the domestic entities of the Company. Reconciling cash, funding accounts, assisting with, and approving wire payments requests.
Understanding of Domestic and International payment systems, Wires, ACH payment processing to ensure that payments and settlements are processed in accordance with company policies and procedures (SOX)
Manage International Treasury accounts balances for Domestic Entities. Identify Foreign Exchange needs and risk – process requests to buy or sell foreign currencies to avoid exposure or liquidity risk
Complete routine investment decisions to manage liquidity needs effectively. Responsible for USD short term investments using different instruments like Money Market Funds and Time Deposits.
Perform ad-hoc analysis as assigned.
Support internal/external audit requests and assist in Sarbanes Oxley testing
Attention to details, a very high level of sense of urgency and ability to shift priorities are critical to this role.
Education:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
CTP certification preferred but not required.
Related Work Experience: 1-3 years
Technical Skills:
Cash Management and Forecasting. Understanding of basic cash management principles and payment processing. Ability to develop accurate cash flow forecasts based on assumptions and financial projections.
Experience using a Treasury Workstation a plus (Specifically Reval).
Leverage Excel, Power BI, Banking Portals and other banking tools in execution of responsibilities.
Economic Analysis. Ability to synthesize economic data to project likely
economic environment (e.g., currency and rate forecasts).
Treasury Policies. Knowledge of Treasury financial policies and procedures.
