Actively lead and participate in corporate and subsidiary related treasury/cash management initiatives that may include forecasting, bank and merchant account management, banking services, reconciliations, system implementations, workflow impacts and the use of short term investments. Assume a leadership role in all corporate initiatives that have a direct impact on Treasury. Ensure that all corporate and subsidiary bank accounts have sufficient balances to cover daily requirements. Develop and maintain cash flow forecasting reports used to accurately project cash requirements to assist Executive Management with long term investment decisions. Review, produce and maintain monthly/quarterly cash and investment reports. Prepare and/or review monthly journal entries and all required accruals. Perform account analysis, research and evaluation of all banking, merchant and investment related services and relationships. Develop appropriate management reports as needed. Serve as backup to the Manager, Treasury as needed. Coordinate and assist in the mentoring training of, and provide daily direction, as appropriate, to other members of the department as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience. Experience: 6 – 8 years – or Associates Degree equivalent plus 8 or more years. Knowledge: Complete understanding and knowledge of industry practices, standards, and concepts within field of work. Applies them to perform or lead work requiring extensive analytical business skills. Decision Making: Makes decisions related to a wide variety of situations within management limits. Interprets guidelines and procedures, applying judgment and discretion. Decisions influence portions of a project, client relationships and/or expenditures. Supervision Received: Works independently under general supervision. Work is reviewed for overall adequacy in meeting objectives. Leadership: Plans, allocates the activities of project teams. Provides training and guidance to less experienced staff. Problem Solving /Operations/Direct Work Involvement: Develops solutions to a variety of problems, typically of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to and interprets policies and practices for guidance. Client Contacts: Contacts other departments and or external organizations or parties frequently. Contacts are primarily at or below upper management levels. Represents organization on specific projects. Communication may involve persuasion, and negotiation.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience in report development and forecasting is required. SAP Hanna strongly desired. Knowledge and experience with implementing Treasury workstation. Project experience and strong excel skills.
Bachelors degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience required. Six to Eight years of recent related experience in cash/treasury functions and processes are required. Experience working in a team setting with demonstrated leadership role in projects is required. A high level of accuracy and dependability is required. Advanced experience working with Microsoft Office is required. Demonstrated work experience in time management and project coordination along with a proven ability to organize, facilitate and lead meeting discussion is required. The ability to work independently is also required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
