This Financial Analyst (or FA) supports Baxters core Treasury daily cash tracking, positioning and movement providing the ideal candidate with both an introduction to global Treasury fundamentals and significant growth and learning opportunities in support of optimizing Treasury activities.

Additionally, this role supports corporate liquidity needs required to ensure flawless execution of significant transactions including acquisitions, financing activities, share repurchase programs and other major funding events. Top candidates will demonstrate a strong foundation in finance fundamentals, commitment to learning and executing a broad range of day to day Treasury activities and a willingness to demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, accountability and continuous improvement while mastering execution of Treasury responsibilities.

Over time, the successful candidate will demonstrate aptitude for learning and leveraging software tools and systems in order to develop efficient, repeatable, reliable processes and learn to quickly access and organize global Treasury data used to generate analytics and insights.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• As a core member of the International Treasury team, this role has primary responsibility to perform daily cash positioning, bank reconciliation, investments, cash forecasting and execution of payments.
• FA will complete all daily and weekly balance reporting requirements including managing all reconciliation issues and utilize problem solving skills to resolve issues as they may be encountered.
• Additionally, this role has oversight responsibilities for nearly 200 global accounts around the world holding Baxter cash in over 30 different currencies requiring cash movement tracking and positioning recommendations, currency transaction coordination, reconciliation reviews, producing accurate and timely daily reporting requirements and analysis of trends to support insight development for the Treasurer and CFO.
• Baxter Treasury is currently in the process of transitioning to the Kyriba Treasury Management System (TMS). This FA will immediately become part of Kyriba user training and be part of User Acceptance Testing.
• Upon completion of training and rollout of Kyriba, FA will have primary responsibility for building and demonstrating advanced system user expertise and becoming a resource for other members of the Treasury team.
• FA will learn netting and intercompany loan management and oversight requirements providing all required inputs on a monthly basis and building the expertise to serve as backup to the Ireland team regularly managing the activities.

Other responsibilities include:

• Global bank accounts management including requesting modifications to bank services, such as ZBA sweeping changes, debit block exceptions, check printing/testing, etc.
• Analyze bank fee reporting, with input to Treasury Operations team to assist with global view of bank fees.
• Produce reporting for both consolidated and employee level FBAR requirements Assist with quarterly and year-end audit schedules for internal/external audit and SOX compliance.
• Assist with special projects

• Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word (Microsoft Office). Advanced excel proficiency preferred.

• Leverage influencing skills to align country finance teams to adopt global Treasury practices

Education / Experience We’re Seeking:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or country equivalent)
