An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic finance professional to join PSPS as our Treasury & Investment Manager. Our Financial Services Department take pride in their ability to deliver a wide range of fully managed finance functions for our client councils leaving them free to shape and deliver essential public services across their districts.
Managing a dedicated team the successful candidate will provide treasury management expertise to three local authorities managing their short-term assets and liabilities ensuring that they have the optimum amount of working capital to support day to day services as well a number of investment portfolios. In addition the successful candidate will be instrumental in offering key treasury and investment advice and written reports to other finance professionals, non-finance professionals and council members.

Experience of a Local Government Treasury Finance is desirable but not essential, however successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities, possess excellent treasury management skills with awareness of how successful cash flow management can have a positive impact for our clients.
Excellent IT and analytical skills with a good understanding of accounting principles are required. As is the ability to organise and prioritise often conflicting demands to achieve deadlines accurately and on time.
