Treasury Management Officer Full Time

SUMMARY:

The candidate will assist in sales, implementation and service of the Banks Treasury Management product and service line to new and prospective customers. Provides superior customer service to customers, prospects and internal partners. Participates with commercial lenders and banking center staff to develop new business for the Banks Treasury Management and assist customers. Evaluates current and prospective customer accounts to ensure needs are properly addressed, and account structures are suited to the customer. Also provides support to the Government Banking department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Account Management

  • Sells and services all aspects of business customer accounts and related Treasury Management services. Reviews checking account needs and matches appropriate products. Customizes accounts when appropriate. Aggregates business customer accounts to ensure they have the appropriate products and services. Maximizes Treasury Management options based on customers unique needs.
  • Reviews customer fees to determine the most appropriate fee structure and analyzes customer profitability.

Business Development

  • Makes calls on current and prospective customers.
  • Accompanies commercial lenders and banking center managers on business calls.
  • Analyzes relationships to determine which customers may benefit from products, and identify cross selling and expansion of services opportunities.
  • Works with Banking Center staff to develop cross-selling techniques. Train staff on identifying potential referrals.
  • Assists Government Banking in their sales process. Match customer needs to system capability with product offerings.
  • As part of the role of Bank officer, promotes the Banks products and services in daily interaction with others.
  • As opportunities arise, promote additional products and services to existing or prospective customers.
  • Actively participates in community and professional organizations.

Customer Service

  • Provides on-going support and follow-up to make sure systems are working properly.
  • Provides direction on the business internet-banking product in areas such as password issues, pricing issues, functionality questions, customization situations, issue resolution, and managing crises.
  • Responds to customer inquiries about business cash management services.

Operations Management

  • Has full working knowledge of system capabilities and process steps.
  • Remains up to date on all regulations and laws, documentation requirements, policies and procedures related to treasury management.
  • Remains current on new and upcoming technology that may benefit the Bank.
  • Complies with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Stays updated to date on compliance developments related to treasury management.
  • May participate on various committees on behalf of the department and provides input and advice on business issues.
  • Provides support necessary to promote and support the acquisition of new applicants and customers at the Bank.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Holds at least one of the following certifications (may obtain within 24 months of employment):
    • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP)
    • Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP)
    • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Specialized knowledge of treasury management and business banking
  • Knowledge of merchant services a plus
  • At least five years of business development and relationship building experience working with all size businesses
  • At least five years of experience in banking, preferably in treasury management, retail banking and/or lending
  • Strong networking, influencing and business development skills
  • Practical business knowledge ability to understand and prioritize business issues
  • Well-developed analytical, organizational, decision-making skills, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong computer and technology skills
  • Cyber security awareness
  • Technology Savviness/Digital Enthusiast
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
