General Position Scope:
The Treasury Management Strategist contributes to and supports all areas of Treasury Management with a focus on interest rate risk and forecasting. This position requires proven analytical skills and knowledge of financial modeling, balance sheet management, the economy, finance and accounting. The job will require working with large amounts of data and trend analysis and requires knowledge of regulatory reporting and practices
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages financial modeling processes and software related to interest rate sensitivity and Bank profitability
Understands and communicates financial results and trends
Participates in deposit pricing to optimize the Banks funding mix
Contributes to regulatory and public reporting
Ensures compliance with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting.
Facilitates the borrowing and correspondent relationships for the bank.
Assists with matters related to the Investment Portfolio
Supports the Treasury Management team with compiling reports for monthly and quarterly meetings
Works with Treasury Management team to maintain adequate liquidity
Assists with all internal audit, external audit and regulatory exam requests.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc. Completes required compliance training and adheres to the Banks standard of conduct.
Assists the Director of Treasury Management as requested.
Participates in the banks High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
Makes referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.
Performs other duties as requested.
Bachelors Degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting, Masters degree preferred
Six years of similar or related experience in Investments or Accounting
Three years of experience creating and working with financial models
General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including extensive Excel skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Extensive reading as needed
