What does a great Treasury Manager Debt Capital Markets do?
The Corporate Treasury Department is a critical part of the overall finance organization within Fiserv and manages Fiservs bank relationships, payments processing transactions, cash and working capital requirements, debt financing, capital markets, share repurchase initiatives, hedging programs, investments, equipment leasing, and various other activities.
The Treasury Manager Debt Capital Markets position reports to the Director, Treasury & Debt Capital Markets. In this role, you will assist with managing Fiservs overall debt portfolio, including the revolving credit facility, commercial paper program, bond offerings, liability management, hedging, and other related matters. You will have direct contact with bank partners and assist with the management of Fiservs US and non-US fixed income investors. In addition, you will develop and execute on Fiservs capital allocation strategy, including share repurchases and M&A.
Over time, this position will gain exposure to all areas within Treasury with the objective of providing expansive career development opportunities, expanding knowledge of Fiservs overall Treasury operations and payments businesses, and ensuring overall organizational effectiveness. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, this role includes management of projects and initiatives and requires effective collaboration within the team and across various functions within Fiserv.
As a Treasury Manager Debt Capital Markets, you can look forward to:
Performing analyses and support the execution of debt capital markets activities including bond issuances, refinancing existing loan facilities, and commercial paper issuance
Support and evaluate risk management initiatives inclusive of interest rate and foreign exchange hedging
Analyze and facilitate capital deployment options including share repurchase, debt repayment, etc.
Provide support to the preparation of the Companys SEC filings and partner with the Accounting department on key deliverables inclusive of FX mark to market and monthly debt journal entries
Forecast and reconcile interest expense and identify savings initiatives
Support the execution and evaluation of equipment and software leasing proposals
Maintain adherence with debt agreements and policies and prepare quarterly compliance certificates
Foster relationships with key stakeholders including bank providers, fixed income investors and Credit Rating Agencies
Manage, direct, and develop staff and build bench strength within the Treasury Department
Leverage peer relationships, market statistics, and industry data to deliver market insights to the business
Execute and deploy improvements and enhancements to the Departments Performance Dashboard, KPIs, and Benchmarking
Interface with various Departments within Fiserv and ensures compliance with Policies and Procedures
Perform various other duties and projects as assigned by management
Basic qualifications for consideration:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or related discipline
7+ years experience within a large, publicly-traded Corporate Treasury department
Prior experience in debt capital markets
Excellent communication skills
The ability to organize and prioritize
An acute attention to detail
A solid understanding of finance, economics, and accounting
A high degree of professionalism and business maturity
Sound judgement, decision-making capabilities, and strong analytical skills
Preferred qualifications for consideration:
MBA, CPA licenses or CTP, CFA, or other financial certifications
Previous people management experience
Proficiency with Power BI, Visio, SharePoint, SAP, Adobe Pro, Bloomberg, PAM, BA Web, and BRM-Edge
