The University is seeking a Treasury Manager to join the Group Financial Accounts team and be our technical expert, providing high quality treasury advice and leading the treasury function of the University and its related organisations.
You will be responsible for all aspects of treasury management including covenant compliance, forecasting and advising on working capital and investment options to ensure the best use of cash resources to support the performance of the University. This includes developing and operating the cash, investments and borrowing strategy, together with shaping and implementing the approach to banking, receipt and payment services including management of banking and payment service providers.
You will be an experienced manager/accountant with a good understanding of financial markets and banking, have excellent analytical and investigative skills and have a good understanding of risk and controls.
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, this is a senior role within the Finance Department you will be expected to provide professional guidance and support across the University (including executive level) thus must demonstrate good people and team working skills, strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
What we offer
Experience in higher education is not a prerequisite and were interested in hearing from candidates outside of the sector. Part time working patterns may be considered for this role. The University is currently working to a mixed home and campus based working model, with a minimum of two days spent on campus. Appropriate IT equipment will be provided to facilitate this working arrangement.
