Treasury Operations Associate

TF Cornerstone is a family-owned residential and commercial real estate company, with assets based mostly in New York City (in addition to Philadelphia and Washington, DC). The company has been in the real estate industry for more than fifty years.

The Diversified Investments Team manages a sizeable portfolio of non-real estate investments on behalf of the Principals of TF Cornerstone (essentially the family office). The diversified portfolio is invested opportunistically to direct investment opportunities (public and private), portfolios managed by third parties, and passive indices. The direct investment activity is mostly comprised of publicly-traded securities, cash-flow generating private companies (direct and co-investments), and a small portfolio of early stage/venture investments.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Diversified Investments Team is looking for an accounting/operations professional to join our team and report directly to the Director of Diversified Investments.

Key responsibilities of the role include the following:

• Management of all accounting associated with non-real estate investments, including coordination with treasury team on transfers of assets, capital calls, incoming distributions
• Support performance reporting for quarterly and annual reviews with Investment Committee
• Communication and relationship-building with key private bankers, third-party manager accounting and operations teams
• Monitoring and reporting on treasury matters related to diversified investments (e.g., cash management, margin capacity)
• Support completion of legal documents (e.g., fund subscription documents)
• Perform ad hoc analytical projects, as they arise (e.g., capital planning, tax analyses, estate matters)

Experience/Qualifications

• 3-5 years of accounting/middle office experience (private banking, private equity, family offices a plus)
• Experience with cash management, capital calls/distributions planning, performance reporting
• Excellent analytical problem solving
• Strong communication skills

• General interest in investing a plus but not required
