Treasury Operator

The context / environment:
You will have to demonstrate an ability to work in a highly demanding and fast moving trading environment subject to constant change. You will need to manage multiple internal working relationships with Group Treasury, Back Office, Operations and Accounting departments internally. Externally responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with the companys bankers and external counterparts to enhance the credit position of T&S and TGP and ensure appropriate liquidity is maintained.

Purpose:

• Daily cash management of gross receivables & payables, ensuring timely payment and receipt of funds.
• Relationships with multiple banks covering active bank accounts in multiple currencies. Daily monitoring of Cash balances. Assisting with treasury reporting.

What you will do:

Payments

• Preparation and agreement of all settlements including netting through direct liaison with trading counterparties.
• Daily payment of margin calls (exchanges & bi-lateral). Monitoring of other cash deposits requirements to ensure business adequacy but minimize costs associated with over provision.
• Generation of monthly payments and monitoring of receipts associated with bi-lateral including interest charges.
• Assist with execution of material payments and receipts, ensuring that liquid funds are available to meet working capital requirements.
• Cash reconciliations of all systems accurately reflect settlement status.
• Perform call backs to conform with Internal on boarding process

Collections / Aged Debt

• Monitoring of anticipated receipts, follow up and reporting of material overdue amounts with counterparties, including the raising of interest charges where appropriate.
• Chasing of outstanding receipts (true debt) with counterparts to avoid loss. Day to day management of D-1, D+1, D+15, D+30 and relevant D+ targets for the business. Management of cash management to position to management and wider position.
• Working with General Accounting improvement of cash allocation procedures to ensure a daily bank reconciliation procedure is implemented and unallocated items are allocated to the correct accounts.

Forecasting & Reporting

• Support for the timely, systematic and accurate delivery of Treasury reporting in coordination with management.

Systems

• Support and management for ongoing development of banking and settlement systems including Simba, THEMIS, Sun, SWIFT and all banking systems.

Other

• Provision of support for all Treasury activities.
• Support ad-hoc Treasury projects including system migration

• You have a Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Finance and Accounting
• You have a first experience in a Teasury Department within an international environment
• You know how to work in an evolving environment where pressure and urgency are daily occurrences
• You have strong organizational skills and details orientation are essential, as large numbers of varied transactions are involved where accuracy of settlements are essential.
• You are rigorous, committed and details oriented
• You are responsive and able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people, thanks to your situational awareness.
• You are resilient and can easily adapt to change
• You fluently speak French and English
• Knowledge of Power BI and/or VBA are highly desirable
