Vice President and Treasurer

The Treasurer will be a highly visible position responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of Bakelites Treasury function. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Treasurer will oversee global cash and debt management, risk management and maintain external relationships with both commercial banks and ratings agencies and will be responsible for seven direct reports globally. The Treasurer will also play a key leadership role in the overall transformation of the Finance function due to the business size doubling through a recent acquisition, as well as collaborate with the CFO, Corporate Controller, Internal Audit leader, Tax leader and FP&A leader.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• Develop and manage global cash strategy achieve maximum value and minimize risk.
• Responsible for daily worldwide cash management, including foreign exchange activities and intercompany activity.
• Work closely with financial institutions to ensure adequate liquidity and financing capacity for the company.
• Lead the development of 13 week cash forecasts and partner with FP&A on quarterly and annual cash forecasts.
• Lead the credit and collections functions of the company.
• Provide leadership in structuring and managing the companys insurance portfolio.
• Recruit, train and mentor a high-performance organization.
• Work closely with private equity ownership on global capital structure, assisting in special financing arrangements, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and special projects.
• Manage key financially-related external relationships (banks, rating agencies, insurance broker, auditor).
• Work closely with the leadership of finance in setting the overall finance team strategy including the attracting and developing of the finance team personnel.

• The individual must be an experienced and skilled financial executive with a strong technical treasury background in a global, complex manufacturing environment.
• The successful candidate in this role will have a minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible financial function experience.
• Finance or Business degree required.
• Unquestionable integrity.

• Experience in a private-equity owned company preferred.
• A collegial, team-oriented relationship-based leader; comfortable working in a matrixed organizational structure.
