The Vice President (VP) Treasury Investments & Strategy is responsible for supporting Synchrony Financial Treasury function on all activities related to Investments with a key focus on execution, tracking and reporting and new product implementation. The role also plays a key function in share repurchases and other capital management activities. Additionally, the role supports analysis related to cost of funds for SYF and assists in the creation of a funding strategy for key M&A activities. This role also participates in key relationship management including, but not limited to, investment banks and rating agencies.
Specific areas of focus include but are not limited to supporting transaction management, funding & investment analytics and support of strategic initiatives that cross multiple functions. The role will work closely with all funding product Senior Vice Presidents as well as the Treasury Funding Strategy team, multiple Finance FP&A teams, ALM team, BD/Pricing teams, Cash Management & Liquidity team.

Assist in the strategic planning for Treasurys Liquidity Investment Portfolio assessing market conditions and regulatory requirements in the context of SYFs overall operating plan.
Participate in the refining of the Companys investment strategy by incorporating funding plan data, liquidity stress testing, & LCR requirements to maximize investment returns within risk parameters for both Synchrony Financial and Synchrony Bank.
Prepare competitor analysis to review both funding and investment by products against peers for review with senior management.
Assist with implementation and execution over key new Treasury product implementations (new debt products, interest rate products, investment opportunities)
Assist in the creation of indicative cost of funding analysis to support BD and Pricing teams with new acquisitions or client renewals
Provide transactional and execution support for unsecured funding, investment portfolio, & broker deposits in a timely and accurate manner.
Provide analytics of Synchrony investments, liabilities, and capital stack as well as general market characteristics
Actively participate in integrating treasury into the business tactical and strategic framework.
Support SVP Funding, Liquidity & Investments in Treasury functional rhythm, including pages for ALCO, ERMC, & Board meetings for funding & investments
Work effectively with other corporate functions, including: Legal, Investor Relations, Tax, Finance, Regulatory, Risk, etc.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Bachelors degree and minimum 4 years of experience in Finance, Accounting and/or corporate treasury or banking environment
Experience working in Fortune 1000 business environment with a sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
Experience in financial markets/services with at least 2 years of experience preferred
Business Leadership Program graduate
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Interest in learning about bank regulatory requirements as well as capital markets

New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. The salary range for this position is 85,000.00 – 170,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
